Build Health International (BHI) has a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Architectural Project Manager.

BHI is a nonprofit organization working in low-resource settings to develop healthcare infrastructure solutions that elevate the quality and accessibility of healthcare worldwide. BHI provides clinical planning, design, construction, and maintenance for healthcare facilities and has worked in over 28 countries. In order to support our expanding portfolio of design-build projects, we are seeking a motivated, and compassionate Senior Architectural Project Manager to join our growing international design team.

In the role of Senior Architectural Project Manager, your responsibilities will be to oversee all aspects of your Project(s) through all phases of the design process – from concept design through construction documents. The position will collaborate closely with the BHI Architecture, Engineering and Construction Teams. The Project Manager will work with the Director of Architecture but will be expected to prioritize, coordinate, and execute their work independently. The Project Manager will effectively direct and manage other BHI Architectural Team Members.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide continual proactive communication with partners, collaborators and external stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with the Director of Architecture and the Director of Engineering
  • Estimate design fees, determine scope of work, and prepare proposals/contracts for new projects and partners
  • Produce & maintain the project(s) program and schedule to ensure effective and impactful implementation for partners delivering healthcare services
  • Produce project(s) Schedule, Work Plans and coordinate, strategize, prioritize project staffing needs
  • Review of constructability issues within the constraints of unique and low resource settings
  • Oversee the production of design and construction documents
  • Mentor and direct project team members, including new hires and interns

Qualifications:

  • 5 years of previous experience as an architectural project manager
  • Bachelors in Architecture, Masters in Architecture or equivalent, registered architect preferred
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office Suite, Adobe, Bluebeam and scheduling software
  • Skillful time management and ability to multitask on several projects, manage project deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and an interest in collaborating with all project stakeholders
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact with diverse individuals across multi-cultural teams
  • Previous experience working on healthcare or international projects is preferred
  • Ability and willingness to travel internationally to project sites, often in very low resource communities
  • Proficiency in languages other than English is a plus (Spanish and French preferred)

Location: The Senior Architectural Project Manager will be based at the BHI office in Beverly, Massachusetts, with the opportunity to partially work remotely. Travel may be required when conditions allow.
