Build Health International was recently cited as a case study in an Autodesk and Matterport customer story on the impact of a new software integration with construction management, underlining the versatility and adaptability of integrated visual tools and technologies that can be leveraged to design and build high-quality infrastructure in resource-constrained settings.
BHI Architect Rene Gasana was quoted: “In my experience, [ACC] is very easy for everyone to use because it’s a realistic model. It allows us to be very clear with our intentions, benefiting consultants and contractors on site.”
The Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) merges three-dimensional images captured by a Matterport camera with Autodesk software workflows. The tool enhances project management and collaboration between architecture, engineering, and construction teams.
Thanks to the use of the ACC integration, BHI has been able to effectively plan a NICU and maternity ward expansion at Kiwoko Hospital in Uganda, cutting down onsite image capture from four days to one. Subsequently, local teams are able to manage issues and generate punch lists, further enhancing collaborative efforts among BHI’s interdisciplinary teams.
