
April 12, 2024–Beverly. Build Health International has welcomed three new appointees to serve on its board of directors. As of March 2024, Mark Michelowski, Andrew De Franza, and Dr. Philip Chukwaka Onyebujoh have joined the BHI community.
The recent appointments add to BHI’s dynamic board of directors including Chair of the Board, Patricia McGuire Meservey, Karen Keating-Ansara, Bob Broudo, Harry Dumay, Herby Duverné, Jennifer Aliber, Dr. Regan Marsh, and Father John Unni.
Each new member brings a unique lens in fortifying and building health equity, ranging from local and national issues to international causes.
Mark Michalowski is currently a practicing attorney and partner at Holland & Knight LLP, an international law firm. With over 35 years of public and private sector experience, Mark brings a commitment to engaging and uplifting communities.
Andrew DeFranza has several decades of nonprofit and social justice advocacy, particularly with affordable housing and homelessness. He currently serves as the executive director for Harborlight Homes, the oldest nonprofit housing developer on the North Shore.
Dr. Philip Onyebujoh is currently the Chief Medical Director at Genetic Immunity, a biotechnology company focusing on immunotherapeutic biologics research and development for the treatment of chronic viral infections and cancer. Dr. Onyebujoh has contributed extensively to diagnostic and disease standards and surveillance, as well as inform detection and treatment of infectious pathogens such as SARs-CoV-2 and tuberculosis.
