Build Health International (BHI) has a unique opportunity for an IT Administrator
BHI is a design-and-build nonprofit organization working in low-resource settings to
develop healthcare infrastructure solutions that elevate the quality and accessibility of
healthcare worldwide.

facilities in some of the resource-constrained settings on earth. We are dedicated to

In the role of IT Administrator, your responsibilities will be to support the organization’s
mission by ensuring reliable, secure, and cost-effective technology systems. This role is
responsible for managing IT infrastructure, supporting staff across programs and
administrative functions, and identifying practical technology solutions that maximize
impact while minimizing cost.
The ideal candidate is resourceful, service-oriented, and comfortable working in a lean
environment with evolving needs.
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain all IT systems, including endpoints and network infrastructure.
- Provide day-to-day technical support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across systems (e.g., email, file storage, applications).
- Deploy and maintain devices (laptops, desktops, mobile devices) for staff and program use.
- Track and manage IT assets across multiple locations.
- Ensure data is securely stored, backed up, and recoverable in case of system failure or disaster.
- Adhere to cybersecurity best practices appropriate for a nonprofit environment.
- Maintain accurate IT documentation, including system configurations, procedures, and asset inventories.
- Support onboarding and offboarding of employees, including account setup and equipment provisioning.
- Manage software licensing, subscriptions, and renewals to avoid unnecessary expenses.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support staff training on technology tools to improve efficiency and adoption.
- Assist IT Manager with implementing low-cost or donated technology solutions (e.g., nonprofit discounts, grants, vendor programs).
- Assist with external vendors, consultants, and managed service providers when needed.
- Adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic nonprofit environment.
- Travel to additional work sites (e.g., project locations or warehouses) as needed.
- Maintain a hybrid work schedule, with a minimum of three days onsite in the Beverly office.
Skills
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of operating systems, networking, and system administration.
- Experience with user management tools such as Active Directory or cloud-based identity platforms.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and data protection best practices.
- Experience with endpoint management, patching, and device lifecycle management.
- Ability to implement practical, scalable solutions without over-engineering.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent
experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, or Google
certifications) are a plus.
Other Information
Location: Beverly, MA (Hybrid)
Compensation: $65,000 to $75,000 commensurate with experience
