As a member of the Global Health Oxygen Alliance (GO2AL), BHI is supporting a new endeavor to strengthen healthcare systems. The Guidelines on Solarization and Energy Systems for Oxygen Infrastructure establish a clear, standardized pathway for integrating solar and hybrid energy systems into medical oxygen infrastructure. By embedding renewable energy directly into the design and operation of oxygen delivery systems, critical equipment can function continuously, even in settings with unstable or absent grid power. These guidelines will support stronger health systems where access to oxygen and essential care is secured through sustainable, context-appropriate energy solutions.
