Our Mission and Goal

Build Health International's mission is to improve access to and build capacity for dignified, affordable, and high-quality healthcare infrastructure in resource-constrained settings around the world.

Our goal is to increase equitable healthcare coverage and access for the most marginalized populations and to empower partners around the world with the resources and facilities necessary to deliver high-quality services to the patients they serve.

Our Guiding Principles

Collaborative Design: We work closely with our partners to plan, design, and oversee the construction of healthcare facilities in low- and middle-income countries.

Healthcare Access: We ensure everyone can access care, regardless of ability to pay.

Comprehensive Planning: We develop clinical and operational plans, as well as operational budgets for quality care.

Local Capacity Building: We hire and train local workforces and tradespeople.

Environmental Sustainability: We focus on renewable energy and minimizing our carbon footprint.

Ongoing Support: We build and maintain relationships with communities long after construction.

Cost Efficiency: We cut costs through in-kind donations and volunteers, pairing them with local workforces.

High Standards: We exceed standards, even in resource-constrained regions that lack access to materials and equipment.

Our Approach

Build Health International maximizes impact in resource-constrained settings, equipping our partners to deliver essential care where it’s needed most. We integrate our healthcare facilities into strong public systems, ensuring long-term, high-quality, accessible, and affordable care for local communities.

Local Solutions, Local Talent

We design and build with communities to meet the local, unique needs of each environment and use in-country resources when possible. We emphasize training and equipping workers with valuable trade skills.

Sustainability

We design with longevity in mind, using cost-effective, durable materials and technology to optimize facility efficiency and reduce long-term costs.
