This week, High Profile Magazine published a story about the diagnostics center being built at Hôpital Universitaire de Mirebalais on their website. The story will be featured in their June 2023 magazine printed edition as well. High Profile publishes news related to facilities development across New England, covering a wide range of topics and with an expansive network and readership across the architecture and engineering space.
In the article, BHI’s electrical foreman Jimmy Forest speaks about the importance of diagnostics care in Haiti; the country of 11.45 million only has one privately-owned CT scanner in Port-au-Prince, rendering it inaccessible for most Haitians. The Diagnostics Center – with its two CT scanners, X-ray machine, and 6,000 square meter facilities – will save many lives and prioritize preventative care. Forest describes how the project is unique, accrediting BHI’s success in continuing operations despite in-country security challenges, shipping port shutdowns, and road closures to his team’s initiative and unmatched collaboration from Beverly to Mirebalais and beyond.
