Project Description

CSST provides primary, dental, and surgical care to a catchment area of over 160,000 in rural Southern Haiti. Thiotte, Haiti, where CSST is located, does not have access to grid power. BHI’s design and installation of a generator and electrical system enabled the facility to have reliable power and clean water for the first time in five years. This improvement enabled Haiti Medical Mission of Wisconsin and CSST to accelerate healthcare provision and medical training in a highly remote mountainous region of Haiti. The introduction of a generator has laid the groundwork for a future solar installation.
