Build Health International

Project Description

Build Health International (BHI) partnered with African Mission Healthcare (AMH) and St. Francis Catholic Health Center to design a new Maternal and Child Health facility in Adama, Ethiopia. The project supports women’s reproductive, maternal, and neonatal health for communities in Adama and the surrounding Oromia region.

The three-story facility includes emergency obstetric and surgical capacity, including the ability to perform cesarean sections. Program development evolved through site visits and coordination with AMH to meet operational needs and Ethiopia Ministry of Health requirements for Maternal and Child Health facilities.

BHI provided architecture, structural, civil, and MEP engineering services to support the design of a facility that expands access to essential maternal and gynecological care.
